Next October 8 a delegation of MASCI will go to Brussels, to the European Parliament, to present the appeal launched by our Movement "for a planned reception and for the service of the people". Masci and Focsiv are side by side in the awareness that it is necessary to face the epochal question of migrations in the Mediterranean and to promote a culture of acceptance and support for the brothers and the sisters who along the escape from wars in their respective Countries reach our continent in desperate conditions. The Secretary of the Masci of Lazio, Carlo Bertucci, will head the delegation of adult scouts who will meet, starting at 3 pm, Patrizia Toia, member of the European Parliament, and David Sassoli, President of the European Parliament.

On 15 June, the national event "Tavolata italiana senza Muri", a italian tableful without walls, a sharing lunch without divisions, was held simultaneously in many Italian cities. In Lazio this special event was held in Rome and in Latina, and the “MASCI Lazio“ gave its significant contribution. Two moments to demonstrate commitment to dialogue and solidarity with those who have less and those who seek a better life possibility away from their homeland. An opportunity to show that there is another Italy, welcoming and capable of inclusion and peaceful coexistence.
For the Tableful in Rome, the principal of Italy, two long rows of colored tables were set up on Via della Conciliazione opposite the Basilica of San Pietro in the Vatican, on which more than a thousand guests and volunteers sat. All together to share a frugal meal, so that through sharing and acceptance, we arrive at a fraternal and peaceful coexistence among peoples.

COMUNICATO STAMPA: Domenica 19 maggio - Parco di Centocelle
“Più Vita alla Vita”
Il 20 giugno 1954, presso la Domus Pacis in Roma, è stato fondato il MASCI (Movimento Adulti Scout Cattolici Italiani). Il MASCI che registra nel Paese più di 6000 associati, celebra il suo 70esimo con una staffetta di eventi regionali che nel Lazio sono previsti domenica 19 maggio, dalle ore 9,30 alle ore 17,00, presso il Parco di Centocelle in Roma.
Nel Parco di Centocelle - ingresso consigliato da VIA CASILINA 712 - verranno allestiti una mostra fotografica dei momenti significativi della storia del MASCI e alcuni stand per la presentazione di iniziative/progetti delle Comunità MASCI del Lazio e con oggetti/ricordi della tradizione scout. Alle ore 10,30, preceduto dai saluti del Presidente del V Municipio Mauro Caliste e del Segretario Nazionale del MASCI Mimmo Cotroneo, è previsto un dibattito sul tema “Progettiamo la Speranza….fare rete” condotto da Carla Collicelli, Docente della Sapienza Università di Roma, con: il Segretario Regionale del MASCI Lazio Alberto Cuccuru, le Assessore all’Ambiente Sabrina Alfonsi e al Welfare Barbara Funari di Roma Capitale, la Portavoce del Lazio per il Terzo Settore Francesca Danese, la Presidente delle ACLI di Roma Lidia Borzì e la Portavoce della Comunità di Manziana1 per il Progetto “Fragilità e nuove generazioni” Giusy Di Santo. Parteciperà al dibattito anche il Segretario Nazionale del MASCI Mimmo Cotroneo.
